About the Author — Nhlanhla Nene

Welcome to Mindedjoy

Nhlanhla Nene is a Certified Life Coach, well-being writer, and founder of MindedJoy, a well-being platform dedicated to helping high-achieving professionals close the gap between external success and internal fulfillment.

His work explores a question that many successful people quietly wrestle with:

What happens when achievement looks good on the outside but no longer feels good on the inside?

Through MindedJoy, Nhlanhla writes about mental health, emotional wellness, sustainable resilience, meaningful achievement, and purpose-driven living. His work helps high-achieving professionals understand the hidden emotional costs of ambition, strengthen resilience, build sustainable well-being habits, and create lives that feel meaningful—not merely successful.

His approach combines research-informed insights with practical micro-transformations, helping readers move from awareness to meaningful and sustainable change.

Nhlanhla brings a distinctive perspective to this work because he understands both sides of the achievement equation. He has more than 30 years of professional experience in finance and business, having worked across industries including manufacturing, logistics, mining, and construction. His corporate career gave him first-hand experience of the environments that reward performance, ambition, productivity, responsibility, and continual advancement.

Alongside his business career, Nhlanhla has developed extensive training in coaching, including the Mindvalley Certified Life Coach programme and the Advanced Programme in Personal & Corporate Coaching through Enterprises University of Pretoria. He also holds a Certificate Programme in Financial Analysis from Wits Business School, is a ACMA, CGMA and Chartered Secretary (ACIS).

This combination of business experience and coaching enables him to approach well-being not as an escape from ambition, but as a way of making ambition more sustainable, purposeful, and human.

As a Well-being Coach, I support high-achieving professionals who want more than conventional success. My work integrates the science of positive psychology with practical coaching tools to help clients:

close the Achievement–Fulfillment Gap,

build emotional resilience,

cultivate daily joy and meaning, and

develop sustainable habits that support long-term wellbeing.

From gratitude practices to strengths development, from mindset shifts to relationship enhancement, I help clients create inner success that supports high performance—rather than draining it. Because true wellbeing elevates every area of life, clients often view this work as a transformational investment in their long-term happiness, relationships, leadership capacity, and overall quality of life.
